Identity theft on the rise [Champaign,IL]
By Chris Ryan | Staff writer
Chad Bobren arrived home recently to find two bottles of male enhancement pills awaiting him. Unfortunately, he didn't order them. The pills, Bobren said, were a prank gift — paid for with his credit card — from the same people who stole his identity a month earlier.
Bobren, senior in communications, is one of a growing number of people who have fallen prey to criminals who pilfer people's personal information in order to steal money or commit fraud.
