Home shredders are very helpful as well as cheap there are usually old documents and records related to banking and saving sheets.

There is no doubt about the buying a shredder thing. Identity theft is on the rise and leaving your unshredded (unsolocited) credit-card application in your trash is asking for trouble.

I received an ad from CareerBuilder and there is also a post on CareerBuilder for a company called "ez-checkcash". Is this a scam? Who are ez-checkcash principals?

The CareerBuilder post referred to Bank of America and ez-checkcash (see: http://banking-finance.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Jobs/JobDetails.aspx?Job_DID=JQ74Y74X8FMZY46PRB&cbRecursionCnt=1&cbsid=3f42c063b8924070a24bd03cafc98733-155647098-ri-1 ).

The email ad I received referred to AmeriTrade and ez-checkcash. The email return address was: NoReply [NoReply@Site.CareerBuilder.com]

I ran a simple Google searches (exact phrase= ez-checkcash, all words = scam), also (exact phrase = ez-check cash, all words = scam. These searches produced a reference to www.safescam.com and another to www.scam.com. WWW.SAFE.COM was more interesting because it associated "ez-check cash" with a scam called: Xian Energy or Purexian.

What's the story on ez-checkcashing?
