Attention victims of work-at-home scams

If you are a victim of a work-at-home check cashing scam which was posted on a job board web site like Careerbuilder or Monster, AND you are a resident of the NY Metro area, please read on.

I was contacted by someone writing an article for a major US newspaper. She wants to speak with people who live in the NY area that have been victimized by one of these work-at-home scams. She is happy to keep it anonymous if you don't want your name revealed in the article.

To contact her, send an email to tellmemoreplease@sbcglobal.net.

(She will only be taking inquries for a short time. This was posted on June 13 2005. )

American Diversified Publications. A.k.A easywork-greatpay is a ligit company. However the companies that are in the directory are questionable. I did order there directory. And I have gone on line to check out some of these companies. The work is there. But the start up fees and materials that you need are way to high. And the items that they are asking to complete are just non-sense. But in the back of the directory their are some big companies. But also you have to have all this computer equipment to get started. And then on top of that the company is asking for a start up fee. So now what i want to do is try one more company to see just how ligit they are. And if they are ligit. I will definitely get back to you all with this information. Want to email me about possible companies i've checked out please do so. Because im not in the business of getting ripped off by anyone. I was going to stay anonymous. But send me an email. eperry567@yahoo.com

I am trying to find away to make real money on my own if you know any real one please contact me at shorty4good2000@yahoo.com I thank you

i have not sent any money to anyone, but seek online or home type work. anyone that wants to charge you to be employed is pulling a scam. DO NOT send anyone any money to go to work. follow this simple rule of thumb and you'll be safe. they seek employee's then they will be the ones who pay.
good luck

I WAS LET GO OF MY JOB BACK IN JANUARY AND EVER SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND WORK ON LINE, IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS THAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING OUT SURVEYS AND LOTS OF THEM, AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WA A GOOD IDEA BUT AS TIME WENT ON YOU PULL U A SURVEY, ANSWER A FEW QUESTION BEFORE THE SRVEY GETS STARTED ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT U DONT QUALITY, OR MOST OF THEM WANT YOU TO PAY FOR SOMETHING. GOD WHAT HAS THIS WORLD CAME TO, NO JOBE OUT THERE, SO A PERSON HAS TO FIND OTHER WAYS TO MAKE A LIVING. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A LEGAL ON LINE JOB TO DO AT HOME WITH VERY LITTLE COST, AND THE REASON I SAW LITTLE COST WHO HAS THE MONEY IF YOUR OUT OF WORK, THANKS FOR LISTENING.

Does anyone know of a legitimate work at home business? Wow there are so many scams I can't seem to find one for real!! Any help is so appreciated!

Posted by: Annette at Apr 4, 2010 10:42:58 AM

I do not have any comments on ADP because I just receive the order form to order the complete work at home package.

Posted by: kamporn at Mar 30, 2010 5:07:19 AM

This Company claims you can start right away mailing their already stamped and addressed envelopes and after you do 400 you even get your 30 dollar fee back. I waited over 1 month and I was looking forward to a legitimate work at home job and what I received was a joke. You are expected to try to scam other people into sending you 5 dollars and a self addressed stamped envelope to you so you can send out a cheesy flier for this company that you paid to photo copy.

If you can sucker 400 people into this phony scam, you get your 30 dollars back after you can prove to them that you really sent out all these envelopes. This is a total lie and a ripoff. I am so mad. Thank god it wasnt more money than that. If I were running a business like this, I would be ashamed of myself, and i certainly wouldn't publish this junk in my local paper with my name on it. Even the companies in the book that you can assemble the products for is a ripoff because you buy all the supplies, make this stuff, pay to send it to them and then wait for a check. I don't think so.

I have heard a lot about these work at home companies and have been comtemplating trying ADP. Just wodering if anyone has had any luck with this certain company? As a father of two and seeking employment I have no money to waist!!! Would appreciate any feedback...

Posted by: Matt at Nov 18, 2009 6:03:17 PM

I just recently signed up for their mail pro-cessing at home job and I believe if you apply it It will work for you. Yes Diversified is a real company and when I called the 800 helpline which is on the website I talked to a young lady that helped me very much so please don't give up on everyone out there. If anyone is scamming you they will themselves be scammed by others. The Golden Rule. Some one up there likes you and is on your side. BELIEVE

While exiting, remember it takes hard work.

- Avoid any offer that promises you’ll make a lot of money for very little work.
- Don’t rely on a money-back guarantee. Con artists rarely give money back.
- Be wary of testimonials or endorsements.
- See if the Better Business Bureau has a Reliability Report on the company.
- Never give a credit card, debit card or checking account number to any person or company that promises employment. If they wantyou to pay them it’s a scam!
- Keep a positive attitude. You are likely to fail a few times before you learn the ropes.

Check this out. Everybody's talkin about if these mail order jobs are real money makers. Well, my thing is if this company was so real an not a scam then why is it taking such a long times for SOMEBODY/ ANYBODY to say if it's a scam or not. To me it seems we have not one person who can really tell us whats, what so I just made up my mind that as one person put it; find my own interest and work for my self there are GOVERMENT GRANTS (not loans) to help you get started in all kinds of ways (free money believe that). If anyone wants more info contact me at (email address: letmehelpmst@yahoo.com) I would love to help as much as I can. Have a good day everyone...

I have received my information from ADP. It all looks good. I do not have ant more information. I am going to do the mailing. This is the only company I have found that has not ask a fortune to get started. I'll let you know

Hey Guys. I am an internet marketer and I hear what you are saying. The truth of the matter is people sell information and you have to apply it. The problem is most people don't apply the information.

Rather then going out and buying business opportunities, what you need to do is learn how to start and run your own business. You can't get scammed in your own business. There is no quick fis. Once you realize that, you will see there are tons of real ways to make money. That's my two cents

I too was wondering about the easywork-great pay.com site, sounds too good to be true, I noticed one of you wrote it was a scam, but just curious on in what way? I checked BBB.org and nothing came up for it. Is there anyone who has actually done this who can tell me about it, I plan to call the number they supplied tomorrow and will repost any information they may give.

Hi, I am writing to tell everyone that there are hundreds of work at home scams on the internet. This Saturday I thoughtI had found the best work at home program. The company is "Process Check From Home" with Angela Penbrook being the head person. This program is a BIG SCAM!!! I lost $197.00 to this person and can not acess the info. I was told I would get. They also work with ClickBank on there program. If you call the help/suport # and get someone, it will a person that can not talk English. Please people do some reserch on these companys. If you can not find people to talk to before you sign up, dont give them your hard earned money. Thanks For Your Time

Has anyone heard anything? I would like to know if this is OK or not. I was shafted for $75 for another company in Florida, dont want to get bit again.

Posted by: Doug Torrena at Nov 30, 2007 11:54:46 AM

From what I have read is that they will send you listings of companies (in your area...and not in your area) that have the proposed job functions. That doesn't mean they are sending you the work and that work is waitinfg for you. So, in the mean time, they get the $35.

well ppl i already ordered it...ill give it about a week or so...ill tell u guys if its a scam or not till then...

called a work at home telephone number and asked about a work at home job as a CD case assembler from the work at home job company called "American Diversified Publications" or their web page which is the following: easywork-greatpay.com. They said they were going to send me an information package about the job. They said there is no obligation.
